I believe that sound business principles should be applied to the governmental decision-making process. An open line of communication between the citizens and their elected representative is essential to good government, for it should reflect the needs of the people. City services, the major barometer of government efficiency must be enhanced, streets paved, ditches cleaned, streetlights repaired, roadside trash removed. Police patrols need to be increased. The neighborhood watch program needs expanded. A police substation is needed for district 4. A new fire station for the Parkwood-Lacey's Chapel needs renewed consideration. Stronger zoning ordinances controlling the commercial development of the area should be implemented with special emphasis on future traffic flow. Given the opportunity, I will work diligently to secure the funding and implementation of these worthwhile goals and projects. I will offer you the citizens an open line of communication and personal integrity coupled with a desire to serve all of the residents of district 4.
